REPORT | Enhancing Understanding and Capacity of CSOs in Lebanon to Counter Misinformation

Drawing on data from a nationwide survey of public sentiment and in-depth interviews with key informants representing CSOs, this study aims to uncover a nuanced understanding of the complex web of crises currently confronting Lebanon.
Fadi Nicholas Nassar
is a research fellow at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS). His research focuses on international humanitarian and relief interventions in fragile and conflict settings, popular uprisings and social movements, and Lebanese and Middle Eastern politics. He is Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs and Director of the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution at the Lebanese American University (LAU). Fadi holds a PhD from the War Studies Department at King’s College London. A graduate of Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, he also received a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
Christelle Barakat
is a researcher
at the Lebanese Center for Policy
Studies. She is a recent Lebanese
Fulbright Foreign Student
program graduate from the
University of North Carolina at
Greensboro, holding an MA in
Peace and Conflict Studies with a
concentration on International
Peace Development. She completed
her BA in Political Science and
International Affairs with high
distinction from the Lebanese
American University. Her areas of
interest include conflict analysis
and resolution, disarmament,
globalization, migration and
refugee studies, and women and
gender studies.
